Disbelieving Sands
Oct. 30th, 2003 07:47 pmHappy Halloween. Have some random, badly written weirdness:
Agent Sands was deactivated by the CIA for a number of reasons, chief among being that he is blind and therefore no longer an effective tool.
Sands snarled a lot when he was informed of his deactivation. The CIA had made his life so much easier, and now they'd snatched it away.
There are several Mexican families who, if they knew to, would want to have words the CIA. Their family members had been randomly selected and served as Sands' stress relief. Before dying painfully.
Sands lost his sight in the spring. He'd had no reason to expect to survive the experience, the bloodloss alone should have killed him, but he had, and he'd survived the CIA's deactivation and their further machinations to eliminate him (he knew far too much).
He survived 'til Halloween and at 12:01 he survived the most frightening thing of all.
Baffled and uneasy, he slipped his glasses off, stuck a finger into an empty socket.
Agent Sands didn't scream, but he did see, on Halloween.
I am off to a movie, now.
